How affiliate links work

When you click certain links to a casino and go on to register or deposit, we may earn a commission from that operator at no extra cost to you. These links typically pass through a tracking redirect and are marked with rel="sponsored". The commission is how we fund research, hosting and the time that goes into our reviews.

What this does not change

Affiliate commission has no effect on our ratings or rankings. Specifically:

• The Verdict scorecard uses fixed, published weights that are identical for every casino. A commercial relationship cannot change them.
• No operator can pay for a higher score, a place on a “best” list, or a more favourable review.
• We review and rank casinos we earn nothing from alongside those we do, using the same rubric.
• A poor casino gets a poor score regardless of any affiliate deal — and we routinely publish real cons, warnings and “avoid” verdicts.

How to identify an affiliate link

Outbound casino links that earn us a commission are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" and usually route through our redirect. Internal links — to our own reviews, guides and pages — are never affiliate links. Editorial links to sources, regulators and help organisations are never monetised.

Why we disclose this

Clear disclosure is both an ethical baseline and a legal expectation (for example, under FTC guidance in the US and ASA/CAP rules in the UK). More importantly, you can’t judge our reviews fairly without knowing how we’re paid — so we’d rather be upfront. Our commitment is simple: ratings are never for sale.
