He was famous for his stories, but also for his gambling and his habit of keeping track of everyone who he ever met. With the Buffalo Bill museum, he hopes to re-envision the mythos of the old west, including the Wild West.
This site is a bit of a long shot, but I think that a lot of people like seeing the old west, whether on the screen or on a screen. If you ever see a movie about the Wild West, and it was about an old man from the west, I think it would really sell.
